Privacy Notice & Data Deletion Policy

Who we are

CloudEngine Labs, based in Chennai, India, operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us at work@cloudenginelabs.io.

What we collect

• Contact form: name, email, optional phone number and your message.
• UAE assessment request form: name, work email, company, the problem you are solving, your current stage and an approximate budget band.
• Campaign source: if you arrive through a link with utm_source, utm_medium or utm_campaign values (for example from a QR code or a LinkedIn post), we keep those values for the browser session and store them with your enquiry so we know which activity led to it.
• Website analytics: aggregate page views and button clicks through Vercel Analytics, which is designed to work without cookies and is not used to identify you personally.
• Booking: if you book a discussion, the details you enter are handled by Google Calendar appointment scheduling under Google's own privacy terms.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, scope and deliver any assessment or engagement you ask about, and understand which channels bring relevant enquiries. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Where it goes

Form submissions are stored in our database (MongoDB) and emailed to our team mailbox through Google's email service. Our hosting and analytics providers process technical data needed to serve the site. These providers act on our behalf and may process data outside India or the UAE.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. If we work together, we keep the records needed for the engagement and for legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose you previously agreed to. We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for people in the UAE, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Data deletion policy

To request deletion of your data, email work@cloudenginelabs.io with the subject “Data deletion request”.

1. Email us from the address you used on the form (or tell us which address to look for) and describe what you want deleted.
2. We may ask you to confirm your identity so that we do not delete or disclose data for the wrong person.
3. Within 30 days we delete your enquiry records from our database and from our team mailbox, and tell you when it is done.
4. We may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made, and any data we are legally required to retain (for example invoices for an engagement).
5. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so deleted data does not return to live systems.
